How did I get started?

I started my academic journey with a major in photography, based on my passion for taking pictures and participating in high school photography classes. As I took more courses in college, I discovered various design disciplines, including letterpress, mastery of other Adobe programs, the application of color theory, and more. After several years of designing, I graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Design.

What did I learn?

Throughout my college journey, I engaged in a diverse collection of projects that encompassed constructing print mockups by communicating with print vendors, crafting linocuts, and honing my video editing skills using Premiere Pro. These hands-on experiences extend beyond theory, allowing a robust skill set centered around graphic design and its underlying principles. Having practical experience and invaluable exposure instilled a keen awareness of industry dynamics and best practices.

What's next?

I am enthusiastic about tackling complex design challenges, seeking new sources of inspiration, and staying up-to-date on design trends and technologies. My goal is to create cohesive brand identity solutions by embracing diverse perspectives, tailoring my skill set to each problem. As I progress in my career, I strive for creativity, innovation, and inclusivity to guide my design decisions.
