Client Brief
PuzzleMaster is an online puzzle distribution company founded in 1997. Over 3,000 puzzles are sold globally offering a diverse collection of puzzles and games. Instagram and Facebook being their main social media platforms while also reaching out to schools and businesses for advertising.
The challenge comes from customers spending too much time on the website and can’t find what type of puzzles to look for. The categories are not summarized into its designated locations making them hard to find. The social media platforms, Instagram and Facebook, also need more interaction and consistency with all of the posts.

Objectives
Enhance the user experience by reducing the time they spend navigating the website, resulting in an easy browsing experience.
Create a popup shop that generates more interest and attracts new customers (lack of technology or unaware of the store).
Establish a consistent design system across various social media platforms for a more cohesive brand identity.
Foster a fun, reliable, and approachable atmosphere both in-store and on the website to create a welcoming environment for customers.
Logo Rationale
Based on the type of products and target audience, I kept in mind the fun and welcoming tone. I sketched ideas that related to the years in the business, the products they started with, and used typographic symbols to show playfulness. The final logo emphasizes the idea of being the master of any game you want to play.
Crossten is the primary typeface to emphasize the idea of playfulness with its rounded edges and bold weight. PuzzleMaster relies on their online website to sell products, so Acta was used for the text to enhance the readability on digital screens.

Takeaway
During this process, I gained insight into the common elements among different companies in the gaming industry. I had a new learning experience with After Effects, particularly in adding movement to the logo. Also, I incorporated visual cues that would be useful to non-English speakers.
